LARCS is a nonprofit organization comprised of volunteer women who are committed to improving the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.

LARCS was formed in 1957 by a group of eight Valley women who felt the growing need to assist those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Over the years, LARCS’ membership has grown to include over 140 active and sustaining members.

LARCS financially supports several local entities including: The ARC Fresno, Special Olympics, Break the Barriers and The Lori Ann Infant Program. The organization also provides scholarships to individuals who enter the field of special education.

Each year, LARCS hosts a large fundraiser to raise money for each of the above entities. The organization also fundraises throughout the year by selling delicious specialty food items through LARCS’ Country Store.
